Lue, a 6-2 210lbs defensive back, was a star for the Gaels over his four years. The Montreal Alouettes selected Lue in the 2nd round, 10th overall making him the first Queen's player taken in 2014. He was a two-time CIS All-Canadian with the Gaels and three times was named an OUA All-Star for the tricolour. Lue finished the 2013 season with 23 tackles and two interceptions for the Gaels, he then added 10 tackles and one interception over two playoff games.

Joining Lue as a second round selection was Scott Macdonell (Montreal). He then added eight receptions for 167 yards and a touchdown in two playoff games. The 6-5 220lbs receiver was taken in the 2nd round by the Ottawa REDBLACKS 13th overall.
