2009: Rallied Queen’s from an 18-point halftime deficit to earn a 33-31 victory over the Calgary Dinos in the 2009 Vanier Cup; The comeback was the largest in Vanier Cup history and earned the Queen’s its fourth Vanier Cup in school history… Claimed MVP honours in both Vanier Cup (CIS Championship) and Yates Cup (OUA Championship)… Nominated for Lou Marsh Award as Canada’s Male Athlete of the Year… Knocked off Hec Crighton recipient Erik Glavic (Calgary) along with nominees Benoit Groux (Laval) and Michael Faulds (Western) en route to winning the CIS Championship… Became only second quarterback to break 10,000 yards passing; finishes career ranked second all-time passing with 10,714 behind Michael Faulds of Western (10,811)… Ranked as one of nation’s best QB’s averaging 368.6 yards per game, recording 15 touchdowns and 2,580 passing yards…. 2008: Danny was named a CIS All-Canadian (second team). . .Lead the nation in touchdown passes with 24. . . Ranked third in Canada in passing yards with 2,407. . . Passed Tommy Denison to become Queen’s All-Time Leading Passer in Week 6 vs. the Ottawa Gee Gees… Served as offensive team captain.
2007: Finished third in the conference in passing yards (2,123) …His touchdowns to interception ratio was third best in the OUA… Threw for a season high 440 yards and four touchdowns in the regular season finale at Toronto… Represented Queen’s at the East-West Bowl in Hamilton.
2006: Started all ten games… Finished season as third best QB in the OUA with 1,744 passing yards passing… Ranked top-ten in the nation with 11 passing touchdowns
2005: Named OUA Rookie of the Year… Dressed for eight games, starting the final seven… Against Laurier, in his first CIS game, Brannagan came off the bench in the fourth quarter, completing 10 of 16 attempts for 110 yards… Earned the starting job in Week 2 vs. York, passing for 341 yards… Recorded two 300+ passing games.
