This past weekend, Queen's Artistic Swimming club made waves at the 2025 Canadian University Artistic Swimming League (CUASL) Nationals hosted in Victoria, BC, delivering standout performances across all competitions.
With a combination of precision and artistic expression the Gaels showcased their strength in both the experienced and novice categories.
Queen's asserted its dominance in the Experienced Team Free event, capturing first place with a routine that earned them 193.238 points with a degree of difficulty of 35.550. Their impressive performance put them ahead of second-place McGill (189.1098) and third-place UBC (177.9804), securing the national title in the Experienced Team Free event.
In the Experienced Duet/Trio Free event, Queen's had three entries competing on the national stage. Victoria Mee and Coco Petracchi delivered a polished routine to finish in seventh place, while Alyssa You, Faith Bennet, and Jayla Seymour followed closely behind in eighth
Nadia Garcia and Maggie Keogan also put forth a commendable effort, finishing 18th.
The Gaels were well-represented in the Experienced Solo Free event, where Sarah Taylor secured 10th place, who was followed by Claire Christie, who delivered a strong performance, earning a 17th-place finish.
In the Novice Technical Events, Queen's continued to make an impact, as the team delivered a well-executed routine to claim seventh place.
Meanwhile, in the Novice Technical Duet event, Anissa Nielson and Olivia Winslow narrowly missed the podium, finishing fourth after an impressive performance that highlighted their strong chemistry in the water.
