Queen's Rowing Head Coach
Scott Feddery was named the Women's Crew Coach of the Year by the Canadian University Rowing Association at the Canadian University Rowing Championship in Montreal, Que. this past weekend.
Feddery helped Queen's Women's Rowing win their first CURC Women's Rowing Championship since 2007 this year, and just the second in program history. Feddery also was named the OUA's Women's Team Coach of the Year.
The Gaels finished the national championship regatta with 119 points on the Women's side, 19 points ahead of the silver medal winning Western Mustangs. Queen's Women's Rowing earned three gold and two silver across six events to win the national title for the first time since 2007 and only second time ever.
The Gaels also won the OUA Women's Rowing Championship for the third straight season this year.
The Gaels reached the podium in every race except one, earning gold in the coxed four, lightweight double, eight, and lightweight pair events. They finished ahead of Western, while the University of Toronto claimed bronze to round out the podium.
