At Queen's University, the commitment we make to our student-athletes is simple: we will support them in the pursuit of their goals. Rowing at the University level requires an exceptional amount of dedication, hard work, and perseverance. Possessing these characteristics will allow an individual to achieve academic excellence and will prepare them to succeed beyond their university careers. As coaches, our primary responsibility is to help our student-athletes realize these qualities by providing them with the tools necessary for their success in any environment.
Our program has a proven track record of developing athletes, with many of our rowers being selected for FISU, U23, and Senior National teams. However, a desire to make a national team is not something we require of our student-athletes. Rather, we ask them to be their best selves on and off the water and we strive to support them in this pursuit.
By choosing Queen's University, you can rest assured that you will be a student first and that your academics will be the top priority. You will be able to count on your teammates and coaches to be there to help you accomplish your goals, no matter what they may be.
