Scott Feddery

Scott Feddery took on the Head Coach duties of Queen’s Rowing program in August 2024.

In his first season as head coach, Feddery guided Queen’s Rowing to a standout performance, with the Women’s Rowing team capturing their second consecutive OUA Championship at the Royal Canadian Henley Rowing Course. The Gaels finished first in the team standings with 172 points, earning six gold medals at the event.

The Gaels women’s team dominance was complemented by a strong showing from the men’s team, who finished fourth overall in the standings with 103 points.

After spending the past two seasons as an assistant coach with the Gaels, Feddery served as chief coach for the Men’s Rowing team in Fall 2022, the Women’s Rowing team in Fall 2023, and the 2023 Summer racing program. Feddery previously coached Queen’s Rowing from 2000 to 2007, leading the Women’s Rowing team to OUA championship banners in 2003, 2004, and 2005.

Prior to returning to Queen’s, Feddery held multiple coaching positions at the university and club levels. He served as an assistant coach for the University of Victoria Vikes Women’s Team from 2007 to 2013, helping the program win three consecutive Canadian University Rowing Championships (2010, 2011, and 2012).

He was named Rowing Canada’s Coach of the Year in 2011 after Vikes crews earned five gold medals and the Efficiency Trophy at the Royal Canadian Henley Regatta. Feddery returned to UVic from 2020 to 2022 as Assistant to the Head Coach and Interim Head Coach.

At the club level, Feddery coached at the Kingston Rowing Club from 2004 to 2007, leading the club to 23 gold medals and three consecutive Efficiency Trophy wins at the Royal Canadian Henley Regatta. His achievements earned him Rowing Canada Coach of the Year honors in 2004, 2005, and 2006.

In addition to his coaching experience, Feddery has a professional background in finance and human resources, having recently served as Revenue and Compensation Coordinator for the Queen’s University Department of Family Medicine.
