Mikayla Cranney and
Nolan Hutcheson have been named the Queen's Gaels Student-Athletes of the Week for their performances over the past weekend.
Cranney (Arts & Science)Â helped Queen's Women's Hockey go undefeated over the weekend, recording four points over two games with a goal and assist in both the Gaels' 3-0 win over the York Lions and 4-1 win over the Western Mustangs.
Cranney now has seven goals and eight assists for 15 points in 12 games (second in the OUA only to teammate
Sophie Hudson's 18 points) and has helped Queen's get off to a terrific start to the season. The Gaels are atop the OUA East standings with a 10-2-0 record.
Queen's Women's Hockey is on the road next weekend, travelling to Windsor, Ont. to take on the Windsor Lancers on Saturday, Nov. 22 at 4 PM.

Hutcheson (Health Studies) helped Queen's Men's Hockey also go undefeated over the weekend, recording one goal and two assists over two games with a goal in the Gaels 4-1 win over the Ontario Tech Ridgebacks and two assists in the Gaels 2-1 overtime win over the UQTR Patriotes.
Hutcheson leads Queen's in scoring so far this season, with six goals and 10 assists for 16 points in 14 games. With the two wins over the weekend, the Gaels are now .500 on the season with a 7-7-0 record.
The Gaels are at Memorial Centre this weekend, hosting the Carleton Ravens on Friday, Nov. 21 at 7:30 PM and the Concordia Stingers on Saturday, Nov. 22 at 7:30 PM.
