St. Catharines, Ont. - Under fabulous fall rowing conditions, the Royal Canadian Henley Course in St. Catharines hosted rowers from across the province for the 2025 OUA Rowing Championships.
The Queen's Gaels women's rowing team completed a three-peat, capturing the OUA title with 543 points. The Gaels reached the podium in every race except one, earning gold in the coxed four, lightweight double, eight, and lightweight pair events. They finished ahead of Western, while the University of Toronto claimed bronze to round out the podium.
Carleton's Rosie O'Brien was named the Women's Athlete of the Year. The lightweight singles champion also placed fourth in the women's doubles event.
The drive for five is complete at Brock, where the Badgers secured their fifth consecutive OUA men's banner. Brock missed only one podium finish, winning gold in the lightweight eight, singles, doubles, lightweight pairs, and coxed four. The Badgers finished the day with 511 points. Western placed second with the Queen's Gaels finishing third.
Brock's Riley Watson was named the 2025 Men's Athlete of the Year. The third-year medical sciences student earned gold in both the men's lightweight eight and lightweight doubles.
