Former Queen's Women's Rower Cassidy Deane will be at the upcoming Paris 2024 Olympics as part of Team Canada's Women's 8+ Rowing team.
Deane and the Canadian Women's 8+ boat qualified in May with a gold medal finish at the World Cup in Switzerland.
Deane rowed with Queen's for three seasons from 2016 - 2019. During that time, Deane racked up three gold medals, two silver medals and one bronze medal in OUA Championship competition and two bronze medals in the Canadian University Rowing Championship. Deane also was named an Academic All-Canadian twice and an OUA All-Star once.
The Women's 8+ competition begins on July 29, 2024 Canada is the defending Olympic champion in this category.
