KINGSTON, Ont. (May 3, 2023) – The OUA released the Men's and Women's Basketball schedule for the 2023-24 season on Wednesday, with the Queen's Gaels opening the season with home and away weekend matchups against the Laurentian Voyageurs and Nipissing Lakers.

Queen's will host the Voyageurs in their home opener on Friday, Nov. 3, with a Women's and Men's doubleheader at the Athletics and Recreation Centre (ARC), before another doubleheader Saturday, Nov. 4 against the Lakers.

The Gaels will then travel north the next weekend to take on Laurentian on Friday, Nov. 10 and Nipissing on Saturday, Nov. 11.

Queen's Men's Basketball and Queen's Women's Basketball are coming off historic seasons.

The Men's team earned their best regular season record (17-15) in more than 15 years before earning their second consecutive trip to the U SPORTS Men's Final 8 Championship.

The Women's team achieved their best regular season record (21-1) in program history before earning the OUA Silver Medal and U SPORTS Women's Final 8 Championship Silver Medal, the best finish in program history.

Other home games for the Gaels include matchups against the Ontario Tech Ridgebacks, Guelph Gryphons, and Algoma Thunderbirds before the Winter Break. And in the second half of the season Queen's will host the McMaster Marauders, York Lions, Laurier Golden Hawks, and Waterloo Warriors before ending their regular season with home dates against the rival Ottawa Gee-Gees on Friday, Feb. 16, and Carleton Ravens on Saturday, Feb. 17.

The OUA Playoffs will begin on Wednesday, Feb. 21 with the Critelli Cup (Women's) and Wilson Cup (Men's) Championships scheduled for Saturday, March 2.

The 2024 U SPORTS Women's Final 8 will be hosted by the University of Alberta while the 2024 Men's Final 8 will be hosted by the University of Laval.
