KINGSTON, Ont. (March 6, 2023) - Queen's Rowing's Shaye de Paiva and Andrew Hubbard were named to Team Canada for the Pan Am Games Qualification Regatta next month.

Rowing Canada Aviron (RCA) announced last week the 17 rowers that will compete for Canada at the Pan Am Games Qualification Regatta in Santiago from April 15-19.

RCA will aim to qualify nine boats for the Pan Am Games at the regatta, including the Men's and Women's sculling singles, doubles and quads, Women's sweep pair and four, Men's sweep pair and Men's Lightweight double. 

de Paiva won one silver and one bronze medal at the OUA Rowing Championship, a silver medal at the Canadian University Rowing Championship, and a bronze at the National Rowing Championships this year.

Hubbard won one gold and one bronze medal at the OUA Rowing Championship and two silver medals at the National Rowing Championships this year.

The 2023 Pan Am Games will be held in Santiago, Chile from October 20-November 5. For more information, view the RCA release here.
