Queen's Field Hockey alumna Abrie Girgis competes for Canada at Indoor Field Hockey World Cup

KINGSTON, Ont. (Feb. 13, 2023) - Queen's Field Hockey alumna Abrie Girgis competed for Team Canada at the Indoor Field Hockey World Cup in Pretoria, South Africa.

Girgis played four seasons for the Gaels from 2015-16 to 2018-19. The midfielder was named an OUA All-Star in her fourth year.

Canada advanced to the Indoor Field Hockey World Cup with a 1-1-3 record in round robin play before falling to Netherlands in the quarterfinals. The team finished in the top eight at the World Cup after entering the tournament as the 16th seed.
