Five Queen's Gaels football players were selected in the 2022 CFL Draft, held Tuesday night.
Anthony Federico,
Peter Adjey,
Jacob Butler,
Rasheed Tucker, and
Konner Burtenshaw were all selected in the eight-round draft.

Federico (Niagara Falls, Ont.) was selected in the second round (17th overall) by the Hamilton Tiger-Cats. The defensive end played in his fourth season with the Gaels this fall, finishing the regular season with 25 tackles and an OUA-leading seven sacks in six games. He added another eight tackles and a sack in the OUA Playoffs. Federico was named an OUA First Team All-Star and U SPORTS Second Team All-Canadian this season.
Adjey (Toronto, Ont.) was selected in the third round (28th overall) by the Edmonton Elks. The long snapper played in all six regular season games and all three playoff games for Queen's this season.
Butler (Chilliwack, B.C.) was selected in the fourth round (34th overall) by the Calgary Stampeders. The offensive lineman played in four regular season games and all three playoff games, including the 113th Yates Cup, at left tackle for the Gaels this season.
Tucker (Ajax, Ont.) will join Butler and fellow teammate
Josh Mosley, who signed earlier this off-season, in Calgary after the Stampeders selected him in the sixth round (52nd overall). The running back was named a U SPORTS First Team All Canadian in 2021 after finishing the regular season second in the OUA in rushing with 114 carries for 697 yards and eight touchdowns. He was named the Canadian Football Perspective OUA Offensive Player of the Week twice during the regular season. Tucker added another 61 carries for 419 yards and four touchdowns in the OUA Playoffs, being named the Canadian Football Perspective OUA Offensive Player of the Week another two times.
Burtenshaw (Amherstview, Ont.) rounded out the CFL Draft, being selected in the eighth round (74th overall) by the Grey Cup champion Winnipeg Blue Bombers. The running back finished the season with 13 carries for 39 yards and three touchdowns.
