Steve Snyder

Steve Snyder, in his sixth year coaching the Gaels, led Queen's Football to a 5-3 regular season record last season before advancing to the semifinals in the OUA Playoffs.
 
Snyder led Queen's Football to two straight appearances in the Yates Cup - 2021, 2022.
 
Queen's finished the regular season fifth in the OUA with a 7-1 record before advancing to the 114th Yates Cup with playoff wins over Toronto and Ottawa in 2022. Snyder was named the U SPORTS Coach of the Year and was also awarded the David 'Tuffy' Knight Award as OUA Coach of the Year in 2021 after guiding Queen's Football to an undefeated 6-0 regular season and the 113th Yates Cup.
 
Snyder joined the Gaels ahead of the 2019 season and finished with a 3-5 record in his first season on the sidelines at Queen's. After starting the season with three losses, Snyder and the Gaels went 3-2 down the stretch. The 2020 season was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
 
Prior to his time with Queen’s, Snyder spent two seasons as the Offensive Coordinator for the Western Mustangs, helping the program earn the top-ranked offence in U SPORTS in 2017 and 2018, two Yates Cup victories, back-to-back Vanier Cup appearances, and the Vanier Cup title in 2017.
 
He also served three seasons as the Offensive Coordinator for the St. Francis Xavier X-Men and two seasons as the Special Teams Coordinator for the Windsor Lancers at the U SPORTS level. Snyder also has experience coaching at the high school, Ontario Varsity Football League, provincial, and national level in Canada, and professionally in Germany.
