Federico, Tucker, Butler to attend CFL National Combine; Adjey, Burtenshaw, Wedgbury to attend regional combine

KINGSTON, Ont. (Feb. 17, 2022) - Anthony Federico, Rasheed Tucker, and Jacob Butler from Queen's Football have been invited to the Canadian Football League National Combine, while Peter Adjey, Konnor Burtenshaw, and Jonathan Wedgbury were invited to the CFL's Eastern Regional Combine, the league announced today.

Sakhia Kwemo (Montreal, Que.) was also invited to the attend the CFL National Combine while Nolan Bedard (Montreal, Que.), Josh Mosley (Port Colborne, Ont.), and Richard Burton (Ottawa, Ont.) were invited to attend the Regional Combine.

The National Combine is scheduled for March 25-27 in Toronto, Ont. The Eastern Regional Combine is scheduled for March 11 in Baie-D'Urfé, Que.

Federico (Niagara Falls, Ont.) was ranked No. 15 in the winter edition of the CFL Scouting Bureau's Top 20 prospects eligible for the 2022 CFL Draft.

The defensive end was one of 10 U SPORTS players participating in the 2022 College Gridiron Showcase in Fort Worth, Texas this week.

In his fourth season with the Gaels this fall, Federico finished the regular season with 25 tackles and an OUA-leading seven sacks in six games. He added another eight tackles and a sack in the OUA Playoffs.

Federico was named an OUA First Team All-Star and U SPORTS Second Team All-Canadian this season.

Tucker (Ajax, Ont.) was named a U SPORTS First Team All Canadian in 2021 after finishing the regular season second in the OUA in rushing with 114 carries for 697 yards and eight touchdowns. He was named the Canadian Football Perspective OUA Offensive Player of the Week twice during the regular season.

Tucker added another 61 carries for 419 yards and four touchdowns in the OUA Playoffs, being named the Canadian Football Perspective OUA Offensive Player of the Week another two times.

Butler (Chilliwack, B.C.) played in four regular season games and all three playoff games, including the 113th Yates Cup, at left tackle for the Gaels this season.

Adjey (Toronto, Ont.) played in all six regular season games and all three playoff games for Queen's this season as the longsnapper.

Burtenshaw (Amherstview, Ont.) finished the season with 13 carries for 39 yards and three touchdowns.

And Wedgbury (Etobicoke, Ont.) appeared in three regular season games and all three playoff games for Queen's this season along the offensive line.
