Gaels rowing compete at Brock Invitational

The Gaels men's and women's rowing teams competed at the Brock Invitational on Saturday in St. Catharines, Ont.

Men's

For the Gaels men's team, Queen's earned silver in the lightweight single thanks to Evan Notley and won bronze with Basil Jancso-Szabo and Andrew Hubbard in the pair, in the coxed four with Jancso-Szabo, Michael Bryenton, Graham Shearing, Hubbard and Khalil Daibes, and in the lightweight coxed four with Lucas Celia, Benjamin Ravenscroft, Michael Trolio, Adam Sunavsky and Megan Stellato.

The Gaels also placed fourth in the double led by Lucas Austin and Jacob Serjeantson and in the single with Bryenton. Queen's had a sixth place finish in the lightweight pair from Celia and Sunavsky.

Women's 

For the Gaels women's team, Queen's captured first place in the lightweight double in a time of 07:19.4 and again in the double in a time of 07:24 from the duo of Danica Vangsgaard and Greta Chase.

The Gaels also earned silver in the pair from Paige Adams and Claire Ellison, had two fourth place finishes in the lightweight single from Jane Carlton and double from Bianca Hill and Jocelyn Danby. Shaye de Paiva also had a fifth place finish in the single.
