The BC Lions enjoyed their time in Kingston as they prepare to face the Montreal Alouettes on Thursday night in Montreal. BC decided to stop in Kingston to break up their road trip which had them in Toronto last Friday where they took down the Argonauts 28-15 for their first win of the season.
"I'd like to thank
Pat Sheahan and the whole University for helping us out," commented Wally Buono the Lions general manager, VP of football operations and head coach. "It's been a great stay for the two days, Queen's has been very accommodating and provided more than even expected so hopefully, these two days help turn things into a victory. It's a spectacular facility, and the turf is great, the atmosphere for games must be a lot of fun."
Buono and the Lions are now off to Montreal to take on the Alouettes Thursday at 7:30 pm at Percival-Molson Memorial Stadium on the campus of McGill.
Queen's football will kick-off first with an exhibition game against the McGill Redmen on August 19 at 1 pm followed by their home and the season opener against the Carleton Ravens on the following Saturday, August 26 at 1 pm. For ticket information visit
