Kingston, Ont. (November 22, 2008) - Queen's captured an overall silver medal at the Queen's Figure Skating Invitational on Saturday while the Western Mustangs would skate away with the gold.
Queen's would take a total of seven medals including three gold, three silver, and one bronze while Western would collect five gold and one silver all from different skaters. The competition was decided in the final event.
Emily Young of Calgary was the Gaels top skater as she would take two gold medals. Her first would come in the Open Solo Dance and then would collect a gold with partner Janel Young of Calgary in the Senior Silver Similar Dance.
Queen's Tailia Feder of Ottawa would take a individual gold in the Senior Silver Solo Dance while Melanie Graveline Sharon, Mass., Jenna Hall of Ottawa, Katie Farrow of Brampton, Ont. and Kelsey Newhook Toronto, all had silver medals in their respective catagories.
