Queen's Football will be back in the Kingston community this Thanksgiving season for its annual Gaels Tackle Hunger initiative on Thursday, Oct. 8.

Members of the Queen's Football program will be collecting food donations outside the Metro grocery store on Division Street from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., with all donations supporting the Partners in Mission Food Bank in Kingston.

The annual Gaels Tackle Hunger initiative is a priority event for the Queen's Football program, bringing student-athletes together with the Kingston community to help support local families in need ahead of Thanksgiving.

Last year, Queen's Football collected more than 500 pounds of food through the initiative, and the Gaels are looking to build on that total this year.

Community members are encouraged to stop by Metro on Division Street on Thursday, Oct. 8 between 9 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. to make a food donation and help Queen's Football tackle hunger in Kingston.
