Tyler Mullan have been named the Queen's Gaels Varsity Sports Student-Athletes of the Week for their performances in the season-opening weekend.
Coish (Environmental Studies) scored a highlight reel winner with time winding down to give Queen's Women's Soccer a 2-1 win over the host Carleton Ravens in the Gaels' season opener Sunday in Ottawa.
With the win, Queen's Women's Soccer is 1-0-0 to start the season. The Gaels are on the road next Saturday at 12 PM, taking on the Toronto Varsity Blues, before returning to Richardson Stadium for their home opener on Sunday, Sept. 6 at 3 PM against the Trent Excalibur.Â
Mullan (Arts & Science) was a perfect 4-4 on field goal attempts in Queen's Football's season-opening 28-12 win over the Toronto Varsity Blues to become the program's all-time leader in field goals with 58.
Mullan also entered second on Queen's Football's all-time points list with 295, just 39 behind Dan Village's 334. With the four field goals and two extra points scored Sunday in Toronto, Mullan's all-time points total now sits at 309.
Queen's Football is off next week, with an early Week 2 bye. Queen's returns to Richardson Stadium for their home opener in Week 3, taking on the Waterloo Warriors on Saturday, Sept. 12 at 5 PM.Â
