Queen's Rowing's Nigel Radhakrishnan wins U23 Men’s 1x, finishes fourth in Lightweight Men’s 1x at prestigious Holland Beker Regatta

Queen's Rowing co-captain Nigel Radhakrishnan had a successful showing at the Holland Beker Regatta in Amsterdam, Netherlands, one of the most prestigious international rowing regattas in the world, this past weekend.

Radhakrishnan (Electrical Engineering) won the U23 Men's 1x at the regatta, and finished fourth in a world-class Lightweight Men's 1x field against senior international athletes who regularly compete at rowing World Cups, Pan American Games, and the Olympic level.

Radhakrishnan trained with the Dutch National team ahead of the regatta.

Radhakrishnan captured five medals for Queen's this past season, including a gold as part of the Gaels' Men's Lightweight 4+ and silver as part of the Men's Lightweight 2X at the Head of the Trent Regatta, a silver in the Men's 4+ and bronze in the Men's 2X at the Brock Invitational, and bronze in the Men's Lightweight 4+ at the Canadian University Rowing Championship.
