Queen's Women's Basketball Head Coach Claire Meadows has been named an assistant coach with the U18 Canadian Junior National Team.

Meadows will be on the bench with the Canadian Junior National team for the U18 AmeriCup Championship in Irapuato, Mexico from June 9-15.

"I'm thrilled to be back working with Canada Basketball and representing our country at the highest level," Meadows said. "It is an honour to have the opportunity to coach our countries best youth athletes and work alongside some brilliant minds."

Meadows has experience coaching at the national level most recently with Team Germany at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris, France.

Meadows was named the OUA Women's Basketball Coach of the Year after leading the Gaels to a program-best 21-1 record in 2025-26. It was the second time Meadows earned the award after having also been named the OUA Women's Basketball Coach of the Year in 2022-23.
