Queen's Women's Basketball's
Kiyara Letlow was named a U SPORTS Second Team All-Canadian at the U SPORTS All-Canadian Awards banquet in Quebec City, Que. on Wednesday.
Letlow (Kinesiology) led the Gaels in both scoring and rebounding in their first season at Queen's, averaging 16.4 points per game and 12.2 rebounds per game. Both marks were Top 10 in the OUA as well, with Letlow finishing eighth in the conference in scoring and third in the conference in rebounding.
Letlow's 54.5 field goal percentage was also second in the OUA in the regular season. Letlow was also named Queen's Student-Athlete of the Week three times this past season.
"Kiyara has had a remarkable season and career," said Queen's Women's Basketball Head Coach
Claire Meadows after Letlow was named an OUA First Team All-Star earlier this month. "Her name is etched in the U SPORTS record books and she's leaving behind a legacy. Kiyara had an immediate impact on our program this season - her presence in the paint transformed our offensive identity. Congrats, Kiyara!"
Letlow also set a U SPORTS Basketball record for career rebounds, finishing the year with 1,411 total rebounds over her career. Letlow is also 10th all time in scoring in U SPORTS Women's Basketball history, with 1,897 points throughout her career.
