Queen's Women's Rugby Head Coach
Dan Valley was named the Attack Coach for Canada's National U21 squad by Rugby Canada.
Valley has represented Canada before, most recently as the Head Coach of the National U23 team in 2023.
Valley is coming off a 2025 season where he was named the OUA Women's Rugby Coach of the Year. Valley was one of two Gaels to win a major award at the conference level for Queen's in 2025, withÂ
Lizzie Gibson being named the OUA Women's Rugby Player of the Year.
Valley led Queen's Women's Rugby to a 6-0 regular season record and top seed in the OUA standings. It was the sixth straight undefeated regular season for the Gaels under Valley.
Queen's outscored their opponents by a combined score of 464-34, leading the conference in both Points Scored and Points Against. The feat was even more impressive with the points predominately coming in just five games, with the Gaels winning one game via forfeiture by their opponent.
Valley's Gaels also led the league in OUA First Team All-Stars with seven, including the OUA Player of the Year,Â
Lizzie Gibson.
2025 marks the third year Valley has won the OUA Women's Rugby Coach of the Year award after being named the OUA Shiels Division Coach of the Year in 2021 and 2019.
Valley also led a team with 11 Academic All-Canadians in 2023-24 (most recent data available).
