Chloe Daniels has signed a professional contract with Bristol Bears Women of the Premiership Women's Rugby (PWR) in England.
Daniels (Applied Science) signed with Bristol Bears Women after a distinguised career with the Gaels that included several international honours.
Daniels played a key role in Canada's silver medal-winning performance at the Paris 2024 Summer Olympics with the National Senior Women's Rugby Sevens team, and was awarded Queen's Outstanding Performance of the Year award for the 2024-25 season, recognizing a student-athlete who has brought the most honour and recognition to Queen's University resulting from success in provincial, national and international competition in a twelve month period.
"I'm absolutely thrilled to be joining Bristol Bears Women." Daniels said in a team release. "The club has a strong identity, ambitious goals and a great reputation for developing players. I'm looking forward to bringing my sevens experience into the fifteens game, learning from the coaches and players, and contributing everything I can to the team's success."
The Sutton, Ont. native delivered a match-winning try in the final minutes, securing Canada's place in the finals. Daniels' impact extended to the gold medal match, contributing both a try and a conversion to cap off her Olympic run.
Daniels was also named OUA Rookie of the Year in 2021, a season which Daniels helped the Gaels capture the U SPORTS Women's Rugby Championship.
"Chloe is a proven international performer with a real X-factor," said Bristol Bears Head Coach Scott Lawton in a team release. "Her speed, decision-making and work ethic really stood out to us, and she has the ability to change games in an instant. Beyond her on-field qualities, she's a driven professional who will raise standards within our environment. We're incredibly excited to welcome her to Bristol."
Daniels spent time with Canda's Sevens program following a rookie season with the Gaels, and finishes their time at Queen's with one national championship, and one OUA championship (2025) in three years with the program.
