The Queen's Gaels men's soccer team returned to Richardson Stadium on Sunday afternoon, facing off against the Trent Excalibur in a tightly contested match that also celebrated the program's storied history. Queen's honoured the 1995 squad with a special tribute, marking the 30th anniversary of their OUA championship triumph.

Trent struck first within the opening 10 minutes, putting the Gaels on the back foot. The Excalibur extended their lead with two goals, including two penalty kick's, to build a 3–1 advantage midway through the match.

Early in the second half, Jacob Ball (Economics) pulled one back for Queen's, sparking a late surge. Nathan Barker (Economics), assisted by Ian Ferguson (Arts & Science), added a late goal to narrow the margin to 3–2. However, Trent held on for the hard-fought victory. Gaels goalkeeper Connor Adams (Fine Arts) recorded four crucial saves, keeping his team within striking distance until the final whistle.

Queen's looks to regroup next Saturday, October 4, when they return to Richardson Stadium to host the Nipissing Lakers. Kickoff is scheduled for 3:15 p.m.
