Queen's Football will take on their historic rival, the McGill Redbirds, in an exhibition game ahead of the 2023 regular season.
The game, scheduled to be played on Friday, Aug. 18 and hosted by McGill at Percival Molson Stadium, will mark the second straight year the two rivals meet in the pre-season. Last year, Queen's Football defeated McGill 19-12 at Richardson Stadium.
The Queen's-McGill rivalry stands as one of the longest standing rivalries in Canadian football history, with the first matchup between the programs taking place in 1884. Queen's leads the all-time head-to-head series against McGill with a 102-75-5 record overall. The teams have not played one another in a regular season or bowl game since 2000.
Queen's Football's regular season kicks off one week after the exhibition game, with Queen's hosting the Laurier Golden Hawks on Saturday, Aug. 26 at Richardson Stadium.
Queen's Football is coming off a 7-1 regular season and their second straight trip to the Yates Cup.
