Patrick Sanvido joins OHL’s Kingston Frontenacs as Assistant Coach

KINGSTON, Ont. (Nov. 13, 2023) – Queen's Men's Hockey alumni and assistant coach Patrick Sanvido has joined the Ontario Hockey League's Kingston Frontenacs as an assistant coach.

Sanvido joined the Gaels' coaching staff last season after five years with the program as a player.

"I am very happy for the opportunity Pat is taking on in the Ontario Hockey League.," said Queen's Men's Hockey Head Coach Brett Gibson. "Our program is about developing people and moving them to the next stages in their life. Pat has left a lasting impression on myself and the hockey program at Queen's, he epitomizes what we stand for. We wish Pat all the best, he will be missed"

The defenceman finished with four points while helping the Gaels finish first in the OUA East Division with a 17-1-1 record in the regular season in his last year of play in 2021-22.

In four seasons with Queen's, Sanvido recorded nine goals and 17 assists and helped the team capture the Queen's Cup in 2019.

Queen's Men's Hockey also announced the team has added Clint Windsor to their coaching staff.

"We are very fortunate to hire Clint Windsor to fill our vacant Assistant Coach position," Gibson said. "Clint was a very successful student-athlete in this league and continued on to have great success in the pro game. Clint will have instant credibility with our players and will be someone than can relate instantly with."
