Liam Geddes Memorial Award was presented at the Canadian University Men's Rugby Championship in British Columbia in December.
UBC Thunderbirds' Relmu Wilson-Valdes was presented with the award for 2022 as the country's Most Outstanding Back Row Player.
The award honours
Liam Geddes, a fourth-year kinesiology student and a member of the Queen's Gaels rugby team who died earlier in 2022.
Liam was a varsity athlete and a key member of the men's rugby program, helping them win OUA title in 2018, 2019, and silver in 2021. He represented the Gaels in the national finals each year as well, including this past fall on home field.
