Marcus D'Acre was named the Canadian University Men's Rugby Championship (CUMRC) Player of the Year for the 2025 season at the CUMRC Awards banquet Thursday in Montreal, Que.
D'Acre (Economics) was also named a CUMRC First Team All-Star for the 2025 season. D'Acre's two CUMRC honours come after they were also named the OUA Men's Rugby Player of the Year and an OUA First Team All-Star. The Fly Half led Queen's and finished second in the OUA in scoring with 57 points in the regular season off three tries and 21 conversions.
D'Acre was also named the Gaels Player of the Game in their Consolation Championship win over the Montreal Carabins at the Canadian University Men's Rugby Championship.
"It's great to see Marcus is getting this recognition," said Queen's Men's Rugby Head Coach
John Lavery after D'Acre's OUA honours. "He's probably the most exciting player his age in the country and plays the game with enormous heart and creativity."
This is the second time D'Acre was awarded at the conference level after also being named an OUA Second Team All-Star in 2024.
