Queen's Men's Rugby win consolation final at Canadian University Men's Rugby Championship

Queen's Men's Rugby finished the Canadian University Men's Rugby Championship (CUMRC) as consolation champions after defeating the Montreal Carabins 43-5 Sunday in Montreal, Que.

Tao Nichol (Applied Science) with two tries and Marcus D'Acre (Economics) with four conversions led the way for the Gaels offensively in the win. D'Acre was named the Player of the Game for Queen's in the consolation final.

Michael Gyles (Applied Science), Adam Doyle (Kinesiology), Trekker James (Psychology), Benjamin Falkner (Arts & Science), and Jett Nesrallah (Applied Science) also scored tries for the Gaels in the big 38-point win.

After opening the CUMRC with a 36-7 loss to the Victoria Vikes, Queen's rebounded in the consolation semifinals with a 38-17 win over the Dalhousie Tigers on Friday, before their consolation championship win over Montreal.
