This past weekend the Queen's Keelboat team traveled to Annapolis, Maryland where they competed at the United States Navy Academy's Shield's Trophy Regatta. The drive was long but spilt into 2 days by stopping in Scranton Pennsylvania for a night. The first day at NAVY was a windy training day on the NAVY 44's followed by two days of intense racing with the first day gusting 16 knots and the second 10 knots. The team played 7th in the fleet, with major improvements from the first to last races sailed. Overall, the team was very happy with their performance and collaboration as a whole, especially with 6/8 people on the team being new to the NAVY 44's.
