Men's Rugby
On Friday, the Gaels (4-0) will head on the road to take on the Guelph Gryphons (4-0) in what should be the matchup of the season. Both teams met in the OUA Finals last season where the Gaels came away with 62-17 win and the championship banner. Now, the Gryphons look for revenge as they look to snap the Gaels' two-season long undefeated streak.
The Gaels and Gryphons hold the top two spots in the defensive rankings and on paper looks to be a hard-hitting, low-scoring affair. The top spot in the OUA, playoff seeding and an undefeated season is on the line for both squads.
Game time is set for 7:00pm in Guelph, Ont.
Women's Rugby
After an impressive exhibition win over the No.1 Ottawa Gee-Gees, the No.6 Gaels (2-1) will finish their OUA season at Nixon Field when they host the York Lions (1-2) on Saturday at 1:00pm.
Queen's will look to hold on to second place in the OUA's Shiels Division with a win over the York Lions. The Gaels have been on a roll with back-to-back impressive wins in McMaster and against Ottawa. They carry that momentum against the Lions who have struggled this season only putting up 45 points through three games. The Gaels on the other hand have had no issues putting up points as
Rachel Hickson and
Sophie de Goede continue to be amongst the OUA leaders.
You can catch all the action for FREE at Nixon Field, however if you can't make it in-person you can catch the action live on OUA.tv
Women's Soccer
The women's soccer team (5-2-1) are coming off a rough weekend where they were shutout in both games against Ottawa and Carleton. Now they head out on the road looking to get back on track against a couple of sub-.500 teams.
On Saturday, the Gaels will head to Toronto for a matchup against the Ryerson Rams (1-3-5) at 2:30pm. The Gaels have a clear advantage offensively as they have a 23-5 goal advantage for the season. They'll look to exploit that difference and get their offence clicking once again.
On Sunday, the Gaels will come back home for a matchup with the Toronto Varsity Blues (3-4-2) at Richardson Stadium. Like the Rams, the Varsity Blues have also had their own issues offensively with just nine goals in nine games. Game time is set for 1:00pm and can be seen on YourTV CABLE 13 / HD CABLE 700.
Men's Soccer
The men's soccer team (6-3-0) enters a very important weekend against two of the top four teams in the OUA East. A strong outing will keep the Gaels amongst the top half of the division standings.
On Saturday, the Gaels will travel to Toronto for a matchup against the No.6 Ryerson Rams (8-0-1). The Gaels are looking for revenge after falling 2-1 at Richardson Stadium earlier this month. The Gaels battled hard but weren't able to score in the second half and even the score. Game time is set for 4:30pm.
On Sunday, the Gaels will remain in Toronto to play the Toronto Varsity Blues (6-3-0). The Gaels picked up a 2-1 win over the Varsity Blues thanks to a late goal in the 82
nd minute.
Game time is set for 3:15pm and can be seen live on OUA.tv.
