Claire Sumner finished with a fourth place finish at the North America, Central America and Caribbean Championships (NACAC) on Saturday in Boca Raton, Forida to help Canada take the first place overall title.

Sumner finished the 8km event in a time of 27:07.62 which was fourth overall and second for the Canadian team. The 19 runner race was led by Canadian Sasha Gollish who finished overall in a time of 26:48.89 while a pair of Americans rounded out the podium.
Former Gaels Victoria Coates, who ran for Queen's in her fifth year of eligibility, also had a strong finish at the NACAC coming in sixth place.
Overall Canada finished in first place out of three countries with a total time of 1:48:45.58 and an average time of 27:11.40. The United States placed second overall while Puerto Rico came third.
