Women's cross country stays strong at No.1 in Canada for second week

TORONTO (U SPORTS) – The Queen's Gaels continue to have four teams ranked in the U SPORTS Top 10 national rankings lead by women's cross country who holds onto the top spot for the second straight week.

Women's cross country continued their reign atop the women's national rankings as transfer Brannna MacDougall (Kingston, Ont) registered the Gaels second consecutive individual and team win, crossing the Western Invitational finish line in 20:45, setting a course record in the process. The men's team meanwhile moved up one spot to No.5 after their second-place showing at the Western Invitational led by the second overall finish from Eric Wynands (Lyn, Ont.).

The Queen's women's rugby team dropped two spots down to No.9 after losing to the now No.7 McMaster Marauders last Saturday. The Gaels have a bye for the final week of the regular season before heading into playoffs with a 2-2 record.

In women's soccer, Queen's stays in the national rankings at No.10 after losing to No.2 UOIT and defeating Trent this past weekend.
