Coming off a win against the RMC Paladins in three straight sets last weekend, the Gaels will look to clinch back-to-back wins with the Lakers match-up. Last year, the Lakers defeated Queen's in North Bay during a close match that went to five sets with scores of 25-18, 25-15, 13-25, 22-25 and 15-12 in favour of the Lakers. When the Lakers made the trip to Kingston later in the season for a rematch, the Gaels took a 3-0 sweep.
Following Super Saturday, Queen's will host the York Lions (0-1) on Sunday at 1pm.
Men's Volleyball
The Gaels men's volleyball team will open their 2017-18 season on home court when they welcome the Nipissing Lakers (0-1) to the ARC main gym for the second fixture of Super Saturday. Game time is set for 3pm following the women's game.
Last season, Nipissing's 11-7 record put them a spot above Queen's who capped off the regular season with a 10-8 finish.
Like the women's side, the men's volleyball team will see back-to-back action when welcome York (1-0) on Sunday at 3 pm.

Last year, the Marauders finished with a 17-2 record and met the Gaels once during the regular season. On a 10-0 run at the time, Queen's came away with a 70-68 in Hamilton with the help of
Abby Dixon (North Vancouver, B.C.) who tallied team-high 16 points and pulled down 16 rebounds for the Gaels.

Like the Gaels, the Marauders enter play fresh off a victory. McMaster defeated the Guelph Gryphons 84-79 at home last weekend.
Queen's and McMaster met during regular season play last year in Hamilton. On the day,
Jesse Graham (Kingston, Ont.) put up a game-high 25 points, shooting 10-of-14 from the field with four rebounds and three steals. Despite the strong performance, the Gaels suffered an 87-75 defeat.
