TORONTO - The Queen's Gaels men's volleyball team was in Toronto for the York Lions Excalibur Invitational tournament featuring Queen's, Western, York, Nipissing and Budo University.
The Gaels took on Western on Friday pushing the match to a fifth and final set but weren't able to close things out against their rivals from London. On Saturday the Gaels lost in straight sets to Nipissing, the eventual winners of the Excalibur Invitational, with set scores 25-15, 25-18 and 25-15.
Later that evening the Gaels got a chance to take on International Budo University, a school from Japan who were taking part in the invitational. In a well fought match the Gaels once again forced a fifth set but Budo narrowly took the victory 16-14.
Queen's is back in action at home this Sunday at 3pm when they take on the RMC Paladins.
