Montreal (September 24, 2016) - The women's volleyball team is in Montreal to play in the UQAM Invitational Tournament against Sherbrooke, Montreal, McGill, and the hosts, UQAM.

FRIDAY
L 3-0 to Sherbrooke
The Gaels had a tough start to the tournament, falling in straight sets to the Sherbrooke Vert & Or 25-21, 25-12, 25-17. While Queen's finished with a 12-7 record last year, the talented team from Sherbrooke ended the year with a 15-7 record.

L 3-2 to Montreal
Queen's gave a strong Montreal team all they could handle in a tight match Friday night. The Carabins, who finished atop the RSEQ conference with a 17-5 record last year, defeated the Geals 25-21, 22-25, 23-25, 25-21, 16-14. After going dropping the first set, the tricolour battled back to gain the lead two sets to one. Another close set in the fourth forced a tie-breaker, where Queen's forced the set to extra points, but couldn't come away with the win.

SATURDAY
