Two Queen's Women's Volleyball student-athletes, and one alumnae, were invited to Volleyball Canada's NextGen Tryout Camp.

Lauren MacPhail from the current team, and recent graduate
Aimee Lemire were invited to the camp. The NextGen program is an entry point for any athletes wanting to represent Canada on the world stage and is key to the future success of the women's program.
Carter (Business) was named an OUA First Team All-Star this past season after finishing second on the Gaels and 11th in the OUA in points this season with 241, powered off 185 kills. Carter also had a .293 hitting percentage, which was third on Queen's and eighth in the OUA, and led the OUA in aces per set at 0.63. Carter added 109 digs and 24 blocks on the season.
MacPhail (Arts & Science) was named an OUA Second Team All-Star this past season after finishing third on the Gaels in points with 164.5 off of 89 kills. MacPhail's .352 hitting percentage led Queen's and was second in the OUA, and their 74 blocks also led Queen's as well as the OUA. MacPhail also had 47 digs for the Gaels this season.
Potential competition opportunities for the NextGen squad include the 2026 NORCECA Pan Am Cup (Sept. 9-19, Mexico), and the NORCECA Final Six (Sept. 19-28, Mexico). Volleyball Canada will also identify athletes for the U23 team, with competition at the Pan Am Cup (July 5-13, USA).
