Gaels blank Waterloo 3-0

BOX SCORE KINGSTON, Ont. (January 11, 2014) - Queen's dominated from the outset, moving to 6-4 on the season after taking a 3-0 win from the Waterloo Warriors at home on Saturday afternoon, 25-16, 25-11, and 25-16.

Shannon Neville (Cambridge, Ont.) led the Gaels on both offense and defense at the ARC, putting up 12.5 points on 10 kills and two service aces, while also making 15 digs. Brett Hagarty (Aurora, Ont.) continues to lead Queen's in digs this season, collecting 12 more on Saturday for a new total of 134 on the year so far. Niki Slikboer (Seagrave, Ont.) threw down a team-high 11 kills from the middle.

Gillian Henderson countered for Waterloo on defense, with 14 digs of her own. But no one stepped up for the Warrior's struggling offense, which as a team made 21 attacking errors to the Gaels nine.

Queen's is back in action on Sunday at the ARC to take on Guelph.
