Morgan McHaffie finished with a five point day while Brittany McHaffie finished with a hat-trick. Next up for the Gaels is a matchup with one of their perennial rivals the Guelph Gryphons. The Gaels defeated Guelph to win the 2010-11 OUA Championship, a series that included the longest collegiate hockey game in history that was won by Queen's 2-1. This season the Gaels and Gryphons split their season series 1-1. The Gryphons swept their opening round series with UOIT to extend their win streak to 16 including regular season and post-season play.

Player to Watch:

(21) Morgan McHaffie (Forward)

2012-13: McHaffie brings all the elements that a forward needs with physical play and a scoring touch. She ranks first in the CIS in penalty minutes and is the seventh leading scorer in the nation. Her leadership will be leaned upon having been a member of the 2010-11 OUA Championship team and an OUA-All Star.

Queen's will visit the Ryerson Rams to open up the OUA playoffs this season. This year Queen's was 0-2 against Ryerson, a team that struggled at home with a 3-7 record, something the Gaels will look to take advantage of. After a good portion of their starting lineup went down with injuries mid-way through the season Queen's finally started to see players return to the lineup and picked up a split on their final road trip that sent them to Sudbury and Toronto. The women's team will look to their strong three-point shooting to give them the edge as their 33.9 percent efficiency was ranked the fourth best in the CIS.

Player to Watch:

(4) Liz Boag (Guard)

2012-13: No matter where the Gaels end up they will look to point guard Liz Boag for offense. The Kingston native recently returned from injury and helped the Gaels snap their losing streak. This season Boag's 38 three pointers are the seventh most in all the CIS.
