BOX SCORE WINDSOR, Ont. (November 9, 2013) - The No.7 ranked Lancers (2-2) gave the Gaels (3-1) their first loss of the season with the final score of 98-74 at the St. Denis Centre in Windsor on Saturday night.
Â
In the first ten minutes of action, the Gaels could not get the ball to drop as they trailed the Lancers 25-5 at the end of the first quarter. Despite fairing better in the second, the Gaels were unable to make up the first quarter woes and went into half time trailing 48-32.
The third and fourth quarters saw a completely different Gaels team where the men matched Windsor point for point. The second half offensive production from the Gaels was not enough to overcome the 19 rebound differential and slow start to the game. Queen's toughed it out until the final buzzer, but were ultimately handed their first loss of the season with the final score of 98-74.
Â
Mackenzie Simpson (Ottawa) recorded his first double-double of the season leading all scorers with 23 points and 11 boards for the Gaels.
Sukhpreet Singh (Toronto) added 16 points, three steals and eight assists in the contest. Windsor's Enrico Diloreta led his team with 19 points and Lien Phillip grabbed 13 rebounds.

The men face the Laurier Golden Hawks on the road next Friday at 8pm in Waterloo.
