VARSITY CLUBS THIS WEEK (Nov. 26, 2012):

WATER POLO (W):  The Gaels competed in the OUA championships for women's Water Polo.  Queen's started off their weekend against McMaster on Friday. The Gaels fell 9-5 against the Marauders.  Saturday the Gaels got a chance to play both Carleton and Ottawa. Queen's fell short against both teams, losing 14-7 against Carleton and 13-9 against Ottawa. The Gaels played their final game against Toronto, but were unable to turn their weekend around, losing 16-4. The Gaels' leading scorer was Alex Watt, who scored seven goals and continued the team-leading form she has shown all season. Marissa Robinson and Judith Wiest scored four goals apiece. Ten different Gaels scored, showing the team's emphasis on building a balanced attack. The Gaels played a pair of rookie goales, Julia McClintock and Lauren Theriault, who showed considerable improvement as the season and the championship weekend went along.
UP NEXT: This concludes the 2012 season for the Queen's Women's Water Polo Team. 


WRESTLING:  The Gaels competed in the Ontario Senior Championships this past weekend. The Gaels placed 14^th overall in the competition. Liz Wigle competed for the Gaels in the Senior Women 48 kg category and Alex Kane and Adam McKenna both competed in the Senior Men 66 kg category.
UP NEXT: The Gaels are set to host the Queen's Open next weekend at the ARC.
