HAMILTON, Ont. (January 14, 2012)- The Queen's Gaels (8-4) lost to the McMaster Marauders (5-6) today in four sets (14-25, 25-12, 14-25, 19-25).

The Gaels struggled to control the net battles as Shannon McRobert of Whitby, Ont. produced three solo blocks and five block assist efforts for the Marauders. Natalie Gray of Oshawa, Ont. led all Gaels with 11 kills on the day, while Anna Pedjase of Waterloo, Ont. had a game high 35 assists.

The Gaels were slowed by a team total of 34 attack errors and 10 service errors. Katie Hagarty of Aurora, Ont. was the best server of the night, registering four service aces as she continued to find the gaps in the Marauders defense from the service line.

The Gaels will hope to get back to the win column tomorrow, when they will travel to be tested by the league leading York Lions (10-1).
