MARKHAM, Ont. (November 14, 2010) – Hank McQueen of Vancouver ended his OUA men's rugby career tallying 10 points en route to helping the Queen's Gaels to a 29-20 bronze medal win over the Brock Badgers at Fletcher's Rugby Field on Sunday.
McQueen was named man of the match for his two tries and solid defensive play which paced the Gaels in the win.
Brock jumped out to an early 10-0 lead in the first half, but
Shane Baddeley of Peterborough, Ont. put the Gaels on the board with a try before
David Worsley added his first of two converts.
Myles Dingwall of Ottawa would add another try before half to give the Gaels a 12-10 at the break.
Brock would strike first after the half, but the Gaels answered immediately as Dan Moor of Toronto registered a try to hand the Gaels a 17-15 lead..
McQueen would add a cushion to the Gaels lead with his first try of the afternoon while Worsley added his second convert.
Brock would close the gap with their fourth try near the end of the second half, but McQueen add an insurance try before time expired to hand the Gaels a bronze medal finish.
Queen's also received top play from
Burke MacDonald of Cornwall, Ont. and
Angus MacPhail of Vancouver.
