Kennedi Stevenson and Daniel Clarke have been named the Queen's University Athletes of the Week, presented by Egg Farmers of Ontario, following standout performances for the Gaels over the weekend.
Kennedi Stevenson (Women's Rugby)
Stevenson (Arts & Science) led the way offensively for Queen's Women's Rugby in their dominant 91-5 victory over the McMaster Marauders Saturday afternoon at Nixon Field.
Stevenson crossed the try line four times in the win, leading the Gaels in tries as Queen's returned to the win column in convincing fashion.
The victory improved Queen's record to 3-1 on the season. The Gaels will return to Nixon Field on Saturday, Oct. 3, when they host the Laurier Golden Hawks at 5 p.m.
Daniel Clarke (Men's Soccer)
Clarke (Arts & Science) delivered a strong performance in goal for Queen's Men's Soccer, recording a clean sheet in the Gaels' scoreless draw against the Laurentian Voyageurs Sunday afternoon at Richardson Stadium.
The fifth-year goalkeeper turned aside all five shots on goal he faced over 90 minutes to keep Laurentian off the scoresheet.
Clarke's performance helped Queen's secure a point and move to 2-3-2 on the season.
