OUA releases 2026 Rugby schedules; Women's home opener on Sept. 12, Men's home opener on Sept. 26

The OUA released the 2026 Rugby schedules on Wednesday.

2026 WOMEN'S RUGBY SCHEDULE | 2026 MEN'S RUGBY SCHEDULE

Queen's Women's Rugby, who will be looking to defend their OUA Championship and finish their seventh straight regular season undefeated, will open the season on the road, visiting the York Lions on Saturday, Sept. 5.

The Gaels will return home next weekend for their home opener, hosting the Brock Badgers on Saturday, Sept. 12 at 3 pm at Nixon Field.

Queen's will then take on their rivals, the Guelph Gryphons, on the road in Guelph, Ont. on Saturday, Sept. 19 at 1 pm.

The Gaels' second half of the regular season features back-to-back home games, hosting the McMaster Marauders on Saturday, Sept. 26 at 4:30 pm at Nixon Field and Laurier Golden Hawks on Saturday, Oct. 3 at 5 pm at Nixon Field, before closing out the regular season on the road, visiting the Western Mustangs on Saturday, Oct. 10 at 1 pm.

OUA Playoffs for Women's Rugby are scheduled to start on Saturday, Oct. 17 with the OUA Championship scheduled for Friday, Oct. 30.

The Gaels are coming off their sixth straight undefeated regular season, going 6-0 last year before capturuing their third OUA Championship in the past four years. Queen's also won their sixth straight medal and third straight bronze at the U SPORTS Women's Rugby Championship.

Queen's Men's Rugby opens their season with two straight road games, visiting the Golden Hawks in their season opener on Sunday, Sept. 13 at 12 pm, before taking on the rival Gryphons in Guelph on Saturday, Sept. 19 at 3:30 pm.

The Gaels' home opener is Saturday, Sept. 26 at 2 pm against the Mustangs at Nixon Field.

Queen's then hosts the Waterloo Warriors at Nixon Field on Saturday, Oct. 3 at 2:30 pm before travelling to St. Catharines, Ont. to take on the Badgers on Saturday, Oct. 10 at 1 pm. The Gaels close out their regular season at Nixon Field, hosting the Trent Excalibur on Friday, Oct. 16.

OUA Men's Rugby Playoffs are scheduled to start on Saturday, Oct. 24 with the OUA Championship scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 7.

Queen's Men's Rugby finished the regular season with a 4-2 record last year before earning their third straight OUA silver medal. The Gaels also advanced to the Canadian University Men's Rugby Championship where they placed fifth.
