Queen's Football's Niklas Henning, Justin Pace, Steven Kpehe selected in 2026 CFL Canadian Draft

Queen's Football offensive lineman Niklas Henning, linebacker Justin Pace, and defensive end Steven Kpehe were selected in the 2026 CFL Canadian Draft Tuesday night.

Henning was selected in the first round, second overall, by the Toronto Argonauts, Pace was selected in the fourth round, 35th overall, by the Edmonton Elks, and Kpehe was selected in the seventh round, 62nd overall, by the Calgary Stampeders.

Henning (Geography) was the second player selected in the Draft Tuesday night after offensive lineman Giordano Vaccaro from Purdue went first overall to the Ottawa Redblacks, and the first U SPORTS player to be drafted into the CFL.

Henning was named a U SPORTS Second Team All-Canadian and an OUA First Team All-Star after helping Queen's Football's offensive line pave the way for the conference's fifth best rushing attack, finishing the year with 1,493 yards, and third best offence overall, averaging 399.0 yards per game, while helping Queen's win the 117th Yates Cup.

The Milton, Ont. native has two NFL workouts lined up after accepting mini-camp invitations from the Las Vegas Raiders and Indianapolis Colts.

Pace (Economics) was named a Second Team All-Star after leading Queen's Football and finishing third in the conference in tackles per game at 6.4. In five games for Queen's Football, Pace recorded 32 tackles (24 solo, 16 assisted) and 4.5 tackles for a loss.

Kpehe (Kinesiology) finished with 14 tackles (10 solo, eight assisted) and three sacks in the regular season, while adding another 5.5 tackles (two solo, seven assisted) and a sack in the postseason in 2025.
