Jude Wheeler-Dee and Chris Zimmerman have been named the Queen's Gaels Varsity Student-Athletes of the Week for their performances over the weekend.

Wheeler-Dee (Chemistry) captured two gold medals at the U SPORTS Track & Field Championships in Winnipeg, Man. this past weekend. Wheeler-Dee won the Men's 3,000M event with a final time of 8:16.66 on Friday, and the Men's 1,500M event with a final time of 3:46.38 on Saturday.

Zimmerman (Arts) was named the Player of the Match for the Gaels in their OUA Forsyth Cup Championship win over the Windsor Lancers on Friday. Zimmerman finished the game with a game-high 29 assists while also adding eight digs.

Zimmerman and the Gaels will compete in the U SPORTS Men's Volleyball Championship this week. Queen's enters the national championship tournament as the No. 2 seed, and will take on the No. 7 seed UBC Thunderbirds Friday at 2 PM. Fans can catch the action on CBC Gem.
