The Queen's Gaels Women's Volleyball team fought hard in the OUA semifinal but fell to the Brock Badgers in four sets, with final scores of 21-25, 21-25, 25-21, and 22-25. The Gaels showcased determined defence, strong offensive execution, and resilience throughout the match, but were ultimately unable to advance to the final.

The first set saw both teams trading points early, with the Gaels using steady serving and coordinated attacks to stay close. The Gaels built a small lead several times, with key kills by Christine Abu (Arts & Science) and Claire Carter (Business), but Brock closed the set 25-21.

In the second set, the teams continued to battle point-for-point. The Gaels responded to Brock's momentum with disciplined defence and an aggressive attacks from Abigail McAlpine (Arts & Science) set up by Holly Biasi (Arts & Science). However, despite the Gaels' resilience, Brock managed take the second set 25-21. 

The third set saw a shift in momentum as the Gaels came out firing. With strong offensive contributions from Pascale Galarneau (Health Sciences) and a kill by Kennedy Millin (Education), along with solid blocking and defensive coverage from the back row, the Gaels regained control, winning the set 25-21.

The fourth set was tightly contested, with both teams exchanging leads multiple times. The Gaels continued to fight hard, showcasing their teamwork and tenacity, but Brock's timely kills and consistent serving allowed them to edge out the Gaels 25-22.

Although the Gaels' season comes to an end today, their determination, skill, and competitive spirit were evident throughout the semifinal, providing a strong foundation to build upon for next season.
